Field Trip at Noccalula Falls

Today was field trip day with my two youngest children.  We had an awesome time, but the best part of the trip was just having the day off to spend with two people I love so much.  I work for a company that builds garbage trucks. Normally, on a Thursday I would be at the office working hard and stressing out about buying parts to build these trucks.   It was such a blessing to be able to have this day to focus on making my kids happy and showing them how much I love them.

The field trip was at Noccalula Falls in Gadsden, AL.  We walked several miles today and at one point the children climbed down in the rocks.  Of course, I followed which ended with me trying to climb out of a deep rock hole back onto high ground.  This was definitely a challenge for me, but it was well worth it.

If you ever visit North Alabama, this is a great place to take the family.  The park has a waterfall with a 90 ft drop, a small train, a petting zoo, a pioneer village and playground.  From Thanksgiving until Christmas this park is completely covered with Christmas lights and decorations.

Don’t forget to take time away from work to be with those people that you love the most.  Your family is so much more important than any job or career no matter how it may seem.  Pull yourself away from that large pile of work and enjoy God’s blessings in life.
